The members of IDEAL are proud to announce the immediate availability of our BioInfoMark bioinformatics benchmarking suite and BioMetricWorkload (BMW) biometrics benchmarking suite. Both of these tools are freely available via the tools link of our website. BioInfoMark will be presented this month at the IEEE International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems and BioMetricWorkload will be presented at the IEEE International Symposium on Workload Characterization.

Congratulation to Chang-Burm, Asmita and Yue for their paper "Workload Characterization of Biometrics Applications on Pentium 4 Microarchitecture" that have been accepted by 2005 International Symposium on Workload Characterization. The Biometrics benchmark suite will be released soon.

It is with great pride that I officially announce the opening of the IDEAL website to the general public! The website has grown and matured in many ways since its original conception, and we hope that our website will serve as a valuable addition, not just to the members of IDEAL, but to the entire computer architecture community.

The members of IDEAL would like to congratulate Yue on the acceptance of his paper, "Workload Characterization of Bioinformatics Applications" into the IEEE International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (MASCOTS). His paper can now be found on our group publication page.

The first draft of what will be our new website is now online for internal testing. When completed, the website will offer guests access to IDEAL publications, software tools, and member information. Our goal is to have the website in a stable condition and open to the public by the begining of the fall semester.
